The University of Sannio is organized in 3 Departments (Department of Engineering, Department of Law, Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods, Department of Science and Technology), providing 12 BSc, 12 MSc. and 5 Ph.D. courses to about 8000 enrolled students.

Within the University of Sannio, the mission of the Department of Engineering is to promote, to organize and to manage the scientific and technological research to support the educational offer of the University. The Department manages the courses in the scientific areas for degrees in Engineering. The Department of Engineering operates in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, industrial engineering and information engineering. The task of the teachers and the researchers is to disseminate new knowledge in collaboration with the national and international scientific community, with the enterprises world and the local authorities.

MSU is the oldest and biggest University in Moldova with a broad range of study programmes and research areas. MSU nowadays comprises 13 faculties with the academic offer consisting of over 65 BSc degree programmes, 63 MSc, and 64 PhD study programmes. The university has a total enrolment of about 12,000 students at all three study levels. The research process at the university is the fundamental component of the academic process and the MSU is placed among the top spots in the national ranking and the academic potential of the MSU contains about 800 teaching and research staff. MSU has been granted the EC HR Excellence in Research award on July 17, 2015.

University of Žilina has more than 65 years of history. The issues of security have been solved since its establishment. The originally Military Faculty was in 1998 transformed into the Faculty of Special Engineering and in 2014 renamed to Faculty of Security Engineering (FSE) University of Zilina. The FSE is the faculty of managerial and technological orientation. Faculty prepares university educated professionals for crisis management with an emphasis on protecting the population, economy and nature in crisis situations for the needs of public administration and the business sector. Faculty developing scientific research activities in the fields of research and development, which are directly related to the study programs crisis management, emergency services, security management and security and critical infrastructure protection. Faculty has four specialized departments: laboratory of security management, laboratory of crisis management, fire-chemical laboratory and laboratory of security in transport. Equipment of these departments is added and updated according to the current financial and material options faculty. Educational and scientific activities carried out by following departments and FBI offices in Žilina: Department of Crisis Management, Department of Fire Engineering, Department of Security management and Department of security research.

The University of Cassino and Southern Lazio is organized in 5 Departments (Economics and Law; Civil and Mechanical Engineering; Electrical and Information Engineering; Human Arts and Philosophy; Human Science, Societies and Health) providing 14 BSc, 18 MSc and 1 dual degree, 4 MSc in English, and 5 PhD programs to about enrol 10,000 students.
Within the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering (DICeM) has the mission is to promote scientific research in all its forms and ensure the dissemination of relevant knowledges and technologies, pursuing excellence in research and teaching, activating interdisciplinary synergies. The scientific fields of reference are mechanical engineering, management, civil and environmental engineering, moreover they deal with basic subjects like physics and chemistry. The DICeM also aims at qualified employment, for its graduates and employees. Further, it ensures the coordination and development of projects of excellence at national and international level. Collaborations with both administrations and public and private companies are intended to promote high-level education and the territory development. The DICeM consists of 53 members, distributed across 23 Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) and 12 laboratories.

Development goals of RTU Institute of Energy Systems and Environment (IESE) – provision of material, technical and scientific basis for the development of Latvian science in the fields of energy and environmental sciences, carrying out scientific research, development of products and services with high added value with purpose to use them for the national economy and also approbate their commercialization on the market of innovative technologies with the help and support of other institutions as well as implement Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral-level study programmes. The main research directions of the Institute are: Energy efficiency, Production and use of renewable energy resources, Fuel combustion technologies, Climate technology solutions, Eco-design and Life cycle Assessment, Socio-economic aspects of energy planning and energy supply. Institute has 5 laboratories: Environmental monitoring laboratory, Biosystems laboratory, Combustion Research laboratory, Building Energy Efficiency laboratory, and Solar Energy System laboratory.
